The Ministry of Culture - Direzione Generale della Creatività Contemporanea, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation - Direzione Generale per la Diplomazia Pubblica e Culturale in Rome, along with the Italian Cultural Institute of Zurich, have announced the second "Mendrisio Prize-Archivio del Moderno". This prize offers two scholarships for young scholars, providing a 6-month opportunity to study modern and contemporary architecture at Archivio del Moderno. Applications must be sent no later than 12 noon (CEST) on 12.9.2024 to [email protected].
Requirements for participation
Applicants for the "Mendrisio Prize" must
- be Italian citizens and residents
- be born after 31 December 1989
- be architects or art historians in possession of a third-level university qualification (School of Specialisation, Research Doctorate, Second-level Master's Degree);
- have a proven research activity in the specific field of contemporary architecture or the history of contemporary architecture;
- have a good knowledge of the English language. Those who have to their credit autonomous research projects in the field of the ICAR 18 disciplinary sector will be positively evaluated.
Employees of the organising institutions, including Fondazione Archivio del Moderno Mendrisio and Università della Svizzera italiana, are not eligible for selection.
