How did you start your career?

I started my career in 2018 with an Internship in Talent Acquisition at Guess Europe Sagl in Lugano, after applying on the USI Career Service portal. After 6 months I was hired as Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Specialist. This role involved managing the entire talent acquisition process to meet the strategic goals and hiring requirements of the Guess Europe HQ. I identified various sources of talent, established relationships with university career centers (USI Career Center), and participated in job fairs (Long Night of Careers). Additionally, I was responsible for creating an employer branding strategy and an annual plan to attract talent and boost brand awareness within the corporate HQ. My duties included planning and designing both internal and external branding activities, projects, initiatives, and events. I also co-organized events and projects with colleagues and external partners. This experience provided me with a solid foundation in recruitment, branding, and strategic planning.

What is your current role/duties?

Currently, as a Talent Acquisition Partner, I leverage a comprehensive understanding of On’s business to fully own and execute the recruiting strategy. I collaborate closely with business leaders and hiring managers to assess recruitment needs and provide strategic advice on hiring best practices. My responsibilities include developing innovative sourcing strategies to attract both active and passive talent, particularly from under-represented groups. I engage with candidates to provide expert assessments of their skills, competencies, and cultural fit. Additionally, I utilize data and reporting to inform and optimize the hiring process, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience. I keep hiring managers and teams informed about relevant market trends and support data-driven decision-making. Furthermore, I partner with the broader talent team and participate in various ad hoc projects and initiatives to support the company’s overall talent acquisition objectives.
