Luigi Pirandello at 150 years from his birth

The USI Institute of Italian Studies (ISI) organises a study day on Luigi Pirandello for the 150th anniversary of his birth. The event is free of charge and open to the public and will be held on Thursday, November 23, from 9.30am, in the Refectory of the former convent at LAC.
The programme includes morning lectures by Pirandello scholars Alberto Bentoglio and Elena Randi. In the afternoon, the volume by Daria Farafonova Pirandello and the classic moralists. Erasmo, Montaigne, Pascal will be presented. It is the first of the series "Officina" published by Olschki and dedicated to the most deserving Doctoral theses by students at the Institute of Italian Studies. During the event, Prof. Silvia Acocella (University Federico II of Naples) and Prof. Corrado Bologna (Università della Svizzera italiana and Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa) will discuss with the author.
The day will end with a theatrical performance by actress Francesca Fracassi, who will play some monologues from the Six Characters in search of an author.
