Heidrun Flaadt Cervini among the 16 Women in Healthcare Innovation 2021

Dr Heidrun Flaadt Cervini is one of 16 Women in Healthcare Innovation 2021. The award was presented to her by FEMtrepreneurs for her work as director of the Center of Advanced Studies on Entrepreneurship in BioMedicine (CASE BioMed) at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Università della Svizzera italiana.
The Innovation Office of the University of Basel (in collaboration with Impact Hub Basel, Healthcare Businesswomen Association, WomenMatters and WEHub) has awarded 16 women active in the Swiss healthcare sector as "Women in Healthcare Innovation 2021" for their significant contribution to innovation.
"This recognition," states Heidrun Flaadt Cervini, "is another proof that USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences has captured the attention of the Swiss life sciences ecosystem for its pioneering role in advanced life sciences entrepreneurship training and education while also contributing to our institution's visibility in the healthcare sector."
The other accolades, along with Dr Flaadt Cervini, went to Alethia de Leon, Deana Mohr-Haralampieva, Kathrin Lehner, Marija Plodinec, Piera Marongiu, Sabina Sperisen, Elena Gross , Tanja Dowe, Antonella Chadha Santuccione , Ronja Müller-Bruhn , Loulia Kassem , Olivia Zollinger, Daniela Gunz, Anne Schmidt and Stefanie Flückiger-Mangual.
FEMtrepreneurs is an initiative of the University of Basel's Innovation Office in collaboration with Impact Hub Basel, Healthcare Businesswomen Association, WomenMatters and WEHub (India). They see gender equality and women's empowerment as essential to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
