Open calls for the new SNSF Academic Board

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) has announced a call for applications to select members for the new Academic Board. Interested parties - professors with tenure and experience in management and leadership - can contact USI's Pro-rector for Research, Prof. Patrick Gagliardini, to express their interest and then send their application directly to the SNSF by 10 June 2024.
According to the new SNSF statutes that came into force in 2024, the Research Council will be headed by an Academic Board starting in 2025. The SNSF is seeking experienced and innovative candidates for the roles of SNSF Academic Board Member or Vice-President beginning in 2025. The call for candidates and the Foundation's regulations are available on the SNSF website (20240326_Profilausschreibung_E.pdf (snf.ch). A nomination committee established by the Board of Trustees is responsible for selecting candidates in accordance with the Foundation's regulations.
The application deadline is 10 June 2024.
