The Venture Briefing event series is designed to help students, PhD, postdocs, graduates & academic staff interested in pursuing an entrepreneurial career to take their first steps towards building a successful company.

12:15 - Keynote speech by Francesco Cecchini Manara, CEO & Founder of Gondola Medical Technologies (alumni startup of USI Startup Centre)

  • First Ventures (up to CHF 150,000 financial support and tailored coaching program for University of Applied Science students)

 

About the keynote speaker

In 2011, Francesco Cecchini Manara and Stefano Tassin founded Gondola Medical Technologies, a Swiss MedTech company offering Gondola AMPS, a clinically-proven, side-effect free and non-invasive therapy to improve walking, empowering neurological patients to move better and live better. 
 
Previously, Francesco had been manager, CFO and investor in several companies at international level, including a company listed at the Milan stock exchange. He holds a degree in Business and Economics from Università degli Studi di Bergamo, and has attended post-graduate courses at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. Francesco and his team have raised several million in equity financing and grants for Gondola Medical, as well as winning the recognition of the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award, and representing the Swiss startup delegations in Boston and China.
