The "Innovation Roundtable" series, organized by USI Transfer, the technology transfer service of Università della Svizzera italiana, recently delved into the topic of "Energy and Renewables" through a strategic discussion involving academics, professionals, and the industry.
"Innovation Roundtable", the series of events proposed by USI Transfer, offers experts from Università della Svizzera italiana and the industry an opportunity for debate and exchange, promoting new synergies and innovative projects. On Friday, 17 October, the most recent event in the series was hosted, focusing on the theme "Energy and Renewables". During the encounter, professors and researchers from the Faculty of Informatics, Economics and the Academy of Architecture and professionals from local companies discussed how innovation is impacting the energy sector and addressing current and future challenges related to climate change.
Professor Barbara Antonioli Mantegazzini, Vice-Director of the Institute for Economic Research (IRE) at the Faculty of Economics, comments on what was: "An open and interdisciplinary discussion to put energy and ideas in motion. I believe that new research and business themes can emerge from the intersections between the potential and needs of companies, academia, and professionals. These can generate value for the region, stakeholders, and institutions.".
