Date: 25 October 2018

The USI Career & Alumni Service is glad to invite you to the presentation "The challenges of the oral form in literature" of:

Max Lobe (Bachelor in Communication Sciences, 2008) writer freelance, Lausanne

Thursday, October 25, 2018; 18:30 - 20:00

Room A11, Red building, Lugano campus

The issue of oral language in literature has always been a subject of debate. Is there a clear boundary between the oral and written form? Can the two forms be combined? If so, under what conditions and for what reasons?

The Swiss-Cameroonian writer and USI alumnus (Bachelor in Communication Sciences, 2008) Max Lobe will discuss this topic.

The intention of the conference is to briefly review the history of this separation and provide contemporary examples (particularly in African literature) that allow us to identify, to some extent, the outlines, risks and benefits of using oral tradition in literature.

The event is open to the public and with free admittance. The conference will be held in French, followed by a discussion also in Italian.
