The Carl Schlettwein Foundation supports scholarly projects and events with a connection to Namibia or southern Africa. Projects and events are always considered in the context of the activities of the Carl Schlettwein Foundation and also involve Basler Afrika Bibliographien wherever possible.
Eligibility
- Project with focus on southern Africa
- Liberal-arts-related topic
- Exclusions: research trips, publication projects, ex-post funding
- Specific interest in projects reviewing archive material or preparing new acquisitions with a media aspect
Funding and Duration
- No fixed scholarship amount
- Detailed budget required for the requested sum
Timeline of the Call
- 28 February and 30 September: applications must be submitted with a completed application form
