SFI Master Class - Selezione dei fondi: una miscela di fattori quantitativi e qualitativi

The SFI Master Class "Fund Selection: Blending Quantitative and Qualitative Factors, offered in collaboration with Centro Studi Villa Negroni (CSVN), will take place on Friday, 6 December 2024, from 1 to 5 pm at the USI Executive Centre Blue Room (West Campus Lugano).

Fund selection is a core activity in the construction of advisory and discretionary portfolios as well as for pension fund allocations. This master class will discuss the fundamental concepts for the successful implementation of fund selection. The selection of the fund will be analysed in the context of adding alpha and factor risk premia to the desired portfolio. The Master Class, free of charge for bank employees, is aimed at professionals in the financial industry who work in asset and wealth management or hold client-facing advisory roles. It is also of value to financial experts seeking insight into fund management. 

Prof. Francesco Franzoni, Full Professor at USI Faculty of Economics and SFI Senior Chair, and Dr Francesco Mandalà, Chief Investment Officer at MBaer Merchant Bank AG, will speak at the event, which will also include an opening address featuring Prof. Luca Maria Gambardella, Professor at USI Faculty of Informatics and Pro-rector for innovation and corporate relations.

This SFI Master Class is an acknowledged SAQ recertification measure for CWMACCoBAffluent-SME-, and Individual Client Advisor profiles and comprises four learning hours. The Master Class covers the "industry knowledge" aspect.

At the end of the Master Class, participants will be invited to a networking aperitif.
