Climathon Mendrisio, 24 hours to be part of the climate action

Climation this year will again be present in many cities around the world and, for the first time, also in Ticino. On Friday, October 25, Mendrisio will host the 24-hour marathon during which citizens, students, entrepreneurs, experts and institutions, grouped in small teams, will work together to find innovative solutions to the climate problems that afflict the cities.
Climathon Mendrisio 2019 will be held at the Centro di Pronto Intervento (CPI), located in via Franco Zorzi 1. The event will kick off at 1.30 p.m. on Friday, October 25 and will end on Saturday, October 25 at the the same time, with the announcement of the winner.

The event, open to anyone interested in acting in favour of the climate, is organized by the City of Mendrisio in collaboration with SUPSI and with the contribution of many local authorities and institutions, such as the Aziende Industriali di Mendrisio (AIM, the public utilities company), USI Università della Svizzera italiana (with its new initiative Il Litorale, Start-Up Promotion Center, Quality Service and the Academy of Architecture), Franklin University Switzerland, the Canton of Ticino (Department of Territory), Impact Hub Ticino, StartUp Garage of SUPSI, the Agire Foundation, Loonity and Azienda Cantonale dei Rifiuti, as well as Climate-KIC Switzerland.
