Support to Concreto for workshops and the purchase of a vibrating platform for concrete models

The Student Council, at its meeting of 17 March 2020, has decided to support with the amount of 900 CHF two proposals submitted by the student association Concreto, a chapter of the Students’ Organisation of the Academy responsible for managing the “casting hall”, a space at the Mendrisio campus where students can build models in cement. The proposal includes the organisation of a workshop, enabling students to use the space, and the purchase of a vibrating platform, that will allow a significant improvement of the models made. The amount is intended to cover the costs of organising the workshop (300 CHF) and the purchase of the platform (600 CHF, which can be increased by 10% if resorting to an environmentally and/or socially responsible supplier). The Student Council supports the project, among other reasons, for its educational value and its contribution to improving the university infrastructure.

The deadline to launch a Student Referendum against this Decision is April 2, 2020.
