Support to Il Letterificio for the "LACritica" lab

Student Corporation

19 March 2020

Decision nr.: D-0320-04

The Student Council, at its meeting of 17 March 2020, has decided to support with the amount of 800 CHF a proposal submitted by the student association Il Letterificio, active in the field of literature and humanistic culture with the organisation of events, workshops and other initiatives related to literature, theatre, and writing. The proposal includes the organisation of a laboratory of critical vision and journalistic writing in collaboration with the LAC - Lugano Arte e Cultura, its theatrical programme LuganoInScena, and the specialised magazine Stratagemmi: Prospettive teatrali. The workshop, entitled "LACritica", will offer students the opportunity to attend performances, meet artists and produce original materials that will be the subject of a special publication. The amount is intended to cover the costs of organising three workshops with artists and experts (300 CHF), attending the performances (100 CHF), travel expenses (100 CHF), professional editing (150 CHF), and the graphic layout of the publication (150 CHF). The Student Council supports the project, among other reasons, for its relevance with education, its educational and cultural value more generally, and for its contribution to consolidating the relations between the University, its students and the region.

Further information is currently available only in Italian. A rough translation into English will be provided upon request ([email protected]), in particular to those who are considering opposing the decision through a Student Referendum.
