Farewell event for incoming students

Despite the challenging times, and considering how much time students all over the world spend behind a screen, we felt that we did not want this to be another virtual meeting.
Therefore, on 14 December, throughout the whole day to allow social distance and avoid big gatherings, we met our incoming students in person to greet them good-bye and wish them all the best for their future. It was also the occasion to hand them a gift to remember their time in Switzerland and a small “panettone”, the sweet bread typically prepared and enjoyed over the Christmas festivities, and to hear about their exchange experience at USI.
As team members of the International Relations Service, we usually like to meet and get to know our guest students by organizing social and cultural activities in the region, as this is an interesting and stimulating part of our job. Unfortunately, it has not been the case for the last two semesters.
Nevertheless, we were very happy to hear a positive feedback on the exchange student’s stay thanks to the rich offer of outdoor activities and natural surroundings.
