On Thursday 25 February 2021, 6pm, Professor Gilles Kepel will hold an online conference, introducing the course “Configurazioni geopolitiche e narrazione della regione del Medio Oriente Mediterraneo”.
In 2020, the MEM region was affected by profound turmoil caused by the combined effects of the pandemic and the oil price crash. These are the topics of Professor Kepel’s new book, entitled Le prophète et la pandémie, which came out in France on 11 February. Before the conference, Professor Luca Visconti, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society, will greet the audience, and Professor Jean-Patrick Villeneuve will provide a short introduction.
