The Switzerland of women - online conference

The online conference "The Switzerland of Women" will be held (in Italian) on Monday, 8 March 2021, from 5 to 6:30 pm to mark International Women's Rights Day. The event is part of the conference series "La Svizzera delle idee" - launched by the Embassy of Switzerland in Italy in 2019 - which aims to feed constructive reflections on the role of the economy as a generator of welfare in society. Several prominent personalities, some of whom share a connection with Switzerland, will speak at the online meeting.
In the year of the 50th anniversary of the right for women in the Confederation to vote and elect at the federal level, the debate, sponsored by the Embassy of Switzerland in Italy, will be dedicated to sharing experiences on issues such as current challenges and opportunities for women in the world of work (with focus on the role of the private sector, through virtuous examples), the promotion of female talent in top positions, equal pay and flexible working models.
The online event, moderated by Ferruccio De Bortoli, journalist and writer, aims, in particular, to address more specific aspects related to the areas of activity of the participants, considering the socio-professional changes pertaining to the consequences of the pandemic.
