Title:
Presentations as Code

Speaker:
Cesare Pautasso

Abstract:
Preparing presentations involves planning what will be said and shown to the audience at the right time. In other words, presentations are programs to be enacted together by the speaker, the presentation slideshow software, and the audience. "Presentations as code" is a presentation development practice which aims to focus on the essential content to be delivered and keep it clearly separated from how it should be automatically visualized. In this talk we will illustrate how some well known software engineering principles can be transferred to the domain of presentations.
