Much of our lives are spent sleeping and dreaming. But what are the differences between sleep and dreams? The talk "Why do we dream?" is part of the series Caffé della conoscenza, and it will be held on Tuesday, 16 November 2021, from 6:00 pm, at the Biblioagora on the USI East Campus and online. Through the lens of science and poetry, we will try to understand these fascinating mechanisms that underlie our lives.

The informal encounter, with a complimentary beverage, will feature:

Mauro Manconi
Professor at USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences

Daniele Finzi Pasca
Director and Co-founder of the Finzi Pasca Company

Moderator: Giovanni Pellegri, Head of L'ideatorio

Limited seats, reservation recommended. BOOK HERE

The event will be available in live streaming at this page

"Caffè della conoscenza" is a series of talks open to everyone to reflect informally on current issues dear to USI and its five faculties. From cancer to poetry, passing through artificial intelligence and social media, for the 25th anniversary of USI, the professors and the Faculties converse with the community over coffee.
