9th National Prize for Scientific Dissemination

The 9th National Prize for Scientific Dissemination - Giancarlo Dosi will be held on 16 December at the Aula Convegni of the Consiglio Nazionale Delle Ricerche (CNR) in Rome. The event aims to disseminate scientific culture through a competition for the best editorial productions on the subject. Each year hundreds of authors submit their candidacy, including researchers, teachers, journalists, scholars and authors from Italy and abroad.
Among this year's finalists in Area A (mathematical, physical and natural sciences) of the Book Section is the book "La pandemia dei dati", by Antonietta Mira (Professor of Statistics and Director of the Data Science Lab at USI), and Armando Massarenti, published by Mondadori and with a preface by Nobel Prize for Physics Prof. Giorgio Parisi.
Votes will be cast during the online ceremony, both by the national jury, to decide the winners of the different areas and the overall winner, and by the public, which will determine the winner of a special prize.
