Against gender stereotypes and identity-based prejudices: the media can also play its part in breaking down inequalities in equal opportunities! The Ermiza Prize is back with its 7th edition. The aim is to reward the best informative and in-depth works produced on radio, television and web media in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland that were broadcast or published between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2022.
Radio, television and web reports can disseminate and narrate the facts regarding equal opportunities, disclosing visions and innovative approaches to gender representation in contemporary society. The aim of the 'Ermiza Award' is precisely to enhance the media products that best convey equal opportunities issues.
Dr Francesca Scalici, Head of USI's Equal Opportunities Service, is also on the prize jury.
The deadline for entering the competition is 31 March 2023.

The prize is promoted by the Advisory Commission for Equal Opportunities, in collaboration with SUPSI Gender and Diversity Service, USI Equal Opportunities Service, and SSR Svizzera Italiana CORSI, the Cooperative Society for Swiss Radio and Television (SSR.CORSI).
