Conference on immunotherapy for infectious diseases

From 26 to 29 September 2023, the third Conference on Immunotherapy for Infectious Diseases - for the first time in Switzerland, the Conference on Immunotherapy for Infectious Diseases (ITID), now in its third edition in 2023, will be held for the first time in Bellinzona from 26 to 29 September 2023. Featuring internationally renowned speakers, the ITID will enable sharing and exchange between participants from all over the world.

The ITID 2023 Conference gathers experts from academia, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and regulatory agencies to facilitate discussions on all aspects of immunotherapy. Immunotherapy is one of the most promising approaches in modern medicine, with successful examples against cancer, chronic diseases, and infectious diseases.

Thanks to various supporters, the organisers - led by the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB, affiliated to USI) - will be able to offer participants an interdisciplinary programme in a dynamic and stimulating environment.

The programme is available at www.itidconference.com. The official opening will be held on Tuesday, 26 September with a welcome address by the Mayor of the City of Bellinzona, Mario Branda, and the keynote by the Director of the IRB, Davide Robbiani.

"The conference in Bellinzona is further evidence of Ticino's excellence in developing antibody-based therapies.," says event coordinator Dr. Luca Varani, Director of the IRB's Structural Biology laboratory, who adds, "Bringing experts in the field here has benefits in the academic and biotechnological fields."

The presentations, for registered participants only, will be both in-person (auditorium Banca Stato di Bellinzona) and broadcast online.
