Museo d'Arte della Svizzera italiana offers a range of activities for the month of December, including free admission, workshops for children and guided tours in various languages. At the beginning of the autumn semester, MASI offered USI first-year students a free ticket to all its venues.

On Friday, 8 December 2023, admission to MASI Lugano is free at the LAC and Palazzo Reali venues. Also open to the public, as every weekend, is the Giancarlo and Danna Olgiati Collection. More details are available at the following link: https://www.masilugano.ch/it/masi/in-corso/agenda/events/evento~events~free-entrance-8-december~.html

On 12 December 2023, from 6:30 pm, MASI Lugano will present the Art/Print event. Christiane Baumgartner and Shirana Shahbazi are in conversation with Linda Schädler (artist talk). Ancient printing techniques are not hidden in the past but often resonate in the works of contemporary artists. This gives rise to unexpected and surprising connections, as in the works of Christiane Baumgartner and Shirana Shahbazi. In dialogue with Linda Schädler, Director of the Graphische Sammlung ETH Zürich, the two artists will talk about how past themes and techniques are interwoven with contemporary creation processes in their works.

We would also like to point out that on the first Thursday of every month, the museum is open free of charge from 6 pm to 8 pm.
