Linda Bisello, lecturer-researcher at the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society of Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), has been conferred the International Prize for Research, awarded annually by the Venus International Foundation.

The award, which falls under the category "Distinguished Researcher in Italian Literature", celebrates Linda Bisello's career and will be awarded during the 10th Venus International Research Awards (VIRA), which will take place on 7 December in Chennai (India). The event aims to be "a catalyst and driving force to enable the global flow of knowledge by connecting institutes and researchers [...] and to ensure the sustainable development of the society".

The Venus International Research Awards, established in 2015, annually honour scholars who have shown "quality, reliability and competence to apply knowledge and skills to carry out specific tasks". The VIRAs consider four categories of researchers, arranged in ascending order of scientific and service merit: young researcher, outstanding researcher, distinguished researcher and award for excellence.
