COST Actions Information Event (Basel)

This Event will introduce you to the COST Programme and the opportunities it holds for Swiss Researchers, how to initiate a new COST action or join existing ones.

It will take place on April 27, 12:00 - 14:00 in Basel (Universität Basel, Petersplatz 1, 4054 Basel).

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is an intergovernmental and pan-European network for the coordination of research activities. COST Actions form the basis for the European-wide coordination of national research projects. They may be proposed by researchers from member countries (bottom-up principle).

In Switzerland the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) is responsible for scientific, financial and administrative management of COST activities.

Dr Eva Klaper, Head of COST unit at the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI presents the important aspects for Swiss Researchers interested in COST.

Dr, Markus Lenz, Researcher at the School of Life Sciences (FHNW) will report about his experiences with COST Actions.

The workshop is free of charge but registration is compulsory.
