At MSF Médecins Sans Frontières, it is critical to set an integrated, contextualized end-to-end supply chain to support operational needs, both for regular and emergency operations. Moreover, the complexity of operations requires a hyper-agile supply chain to respond to the various local constraints such as conflicts areas, continuous displacements, and emergency responses.
How can we build an efficient Supply Chain Strategy including all contextual constraints so that this key element supports medical operations?
Julie will introduce us to Supply Chain Strategy at MSF and the practical aspect of building an efficient Strategy.

Julie Pastor has been working as a Supply Chain professional for almost 10 years.
She worked in transport, procurement and purchase departments in different industries and companies before starting her humanitarian commitment in 2013 when she joined the international NGO Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland. After different assignments in the DRC and Niger, she joined MSF Switzerland's Headquarters in the Supply Chain Unit.
Through her position of Supply Chain Referent within MSF Switzerland, Julie has been working on the optimization of supply chain management tools. She is also the main contact for the Field Supply Chain Manager on technical and operational issues and contributes to the supply chain supervision “end-to-end”.
Thanks to her strong understanding of the different field contexts, she is now providing broad expertise of the different challenges within the Humanitarian Supply Chain. Julie is on the front line for mission support and resolution of issues related to business practices. She also develops MSF Supply Chain training to guarantee that the field Supply Chain Managers are provided with the key knowledge to ensure the success of their mission.
