Design of digital solutions: issues & challenges in developing regions

On Tuesday, October 16th 2018 at 17:30 in room A21 (Lugano campus), an open lecture on “Design of digital solutions: issues & challenges in developing regions” will be given. Guest speaker will be Erkki Sutinen, professor of Computer Science (Interaction Design) and Chair of the Department of Future Technologies at the University of Turku, Finland. The lecture will discuss the technique of co-design, which is based on the active role of users and their societal context when it comes to design tools for enhancing creativity and innovation in learning. Some cases of co-design projects in developing countries will be presented, building on the personal experience of prof. Sutinen in Tanzania and Mozambique.

The lecture is organized by the UNESCO Chair in ICT to develop and promote sustainable tourism in World Heritage Sites and is open to anyone, in particular to Master and PhD students.
