SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024

For excellent postdoctoral researchers of any nationality who wish to pursue a research and training stay in CH with a project in any discipline. Applicants who intended to apply for an EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships to come to CH can participate in this call.

Eligibility

Proposals must be submitted within 8 years after the obtainment of the PhD or MD-PhD.

Candidates should not have worked or lived in Switzerland for more than 1 year within the 3 years prior to the deadline.

Funding and duration

The grant covers the fellow’s salary + max. CHF 24’000 for project funds for up to 24 months. In principle, the fellowship is awarded for a continuous stay in CH. However, a stay at a second host institution in CH or abroad is possible for up to a 1/3 of the project duration.

Internal deadline

Applicants, who have identified a professor who is willing to host them and their project at USI, must send the “Support letter from the supervisor” to [email protected] by 15.11.2024 to obtain the “Confirmation from the host institution” required by the SNSF.

Application

The proposal is submitted via mySNF and must include: the research plan (max. 10 pages), the CV and major achievements (using the SNSF CV format ), the host institute's confirmation and the supervisor's support letter, and copies of degrees.

Resubmission

You can resubmit your application if it was rejected at the 2021 / 2022 SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships call or if you got an evaluation score of at least 6.3 at the 2023 call.
