The USI Career Service, in collaboration with the Institute of Finance at USI, the Swiss Finance Institute, Banca Zarattini and Lugano Finance Club, has the pleasure to announce the launch of Meet the Practitioner, a new conference series. These meetings will represent an opportunity for students to have an overview of the existing professions in finance.
The first conference will host:

Dr. Nicola Carcano holds a degree in Economics from LUISS University in Rome, an MBA degree with major in Finance from the New York University, and a PhD in Financial Markets Theory from the University of St. Gallen. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for the MBA program. During his professional career, he worked for Accenture as a consultant to financial service companies, headed the Quantitative Finance Team of UBS Investment Banking in Zurich, led Mercer Investment Consulting in Italy and the Portfolio Management for Ultra High Net Worth clients at Bank Vontobel in Zurich. Currently, he is Head of Equity Investments at OpenCapital SA, an independent asset management company based in Lugano.
